Important Features in PrimeOS (Windows/Linux Support & Performance Modes

Hi Primebook Team,

I have a few important requests regarding the Primebook Wi-Fi model.

1. HDMI Port Clarification

Could you please clearly tell us which HDMI version is used in the Primebook Wi-Fi model (HDMI 1.4 or HDMI 2.0)?

Also, please confirm whether the hardware is capable of supporting true extended display (not just mirroring).

2. Windows & Linux File Support

Please add a proper way to run:

Windows .exe files and other Windows applications

Linux files and applications

Many users download software from the browser, and most of these files are in Windows or Linux format. Currently, we cannot use them properly on PrimeOS.

3. Performance Modes

Please add the following performance modes in PrimeOS:

Gaming Mode

Performance Mode

Balanced Mode

Battery Saving Mode

Special request for Gaming Mode:

Only one game/app should run at a time

Maximum system resources should be given to that game

Example: On a 4GB RAM device, around 1GB can be reserved for the OS, and the remaining 3GB should be fully allocated to the game

Background apps should be restricted

Right now, games like Asphalt Legends crash or restart the device within 30–40 seconds even on the lowest settings. A proper Gaming Mode is highly needed.

Please consider adding these features in a future PrimeOS update for Gen 1 devices as well.

Looking forward to your reply.

Hi Parag, as we mentioned, screen mirroring is supported on the Wi-Fi model, while extended display isn’t currently supported. For .exe files, you can open them through Windows using our Cloud PC feature. We’ve also taken your suggestions into consideration.

Hi,

Thank you for your reply, but it is once again incomplete and unsatisfactory.

First of all, I had clearly asked you earlier about the Mini HDMI port used in the Primebook Wi-Fi model. I specifically requested you to tell us which HDMI version it is (HDMI 1.4 or HDMI 2.0) and whether the hardware is capable of supporting true extended display. You have completely ignored this question in your latest reply. Why are you not answering a basic technical question about your own product? Users have the right to know what hardware they have purchased.

You have again repeated the same line: screen mirroring is supported, but extended display is not currently supported on the Wi-Fi model. This is not acceptable. Extended display is a basic feature in almost every laptop. Even many low-cost devices provide proper extended display over HDMI. By only offering mirroring, you are limiting the usefulness of the HDMI port. Students and users buy external monitors to increase productivity, not just to see the same screen duplicated. Your continuous refusal to enable extended display on Gen 1 devices shows that you are not serious about improving the experience for existing customers.

Regarding .exe files, your suggestion to use Cloud PC is not a proper solution. Cloud PC is a remote/cloud-based service. By repeatedly pushing Cloud PC for every limitation, it appears that you are more interested in selling cloud services than improving the actual device software. A laptop should be capable of handling basic tasks locally. Users should not be forced to depend on an internet connection and cloud service just to open normal Windows files. This is not a genuine solution; it is a way to push users toward additional services.

I have already raised multiple important points in my previous messages, but most of them are still being ignored or given vague replies like “we have taken your suggestions into consideration.” This kind of response means nothing without any clear commitment or timeline.

Let me clearly repeat my demands once again:

Please clearly tell us which HDMI version is present in the Primebook Wi-Fi model and whether the hardware can support extended display.

Add proper extended display support (not just mirroring) on Gen 1 Wi-Fi models.

Provide a proper local way to run Windows .exe files and other Windows applications, instead of only pushing Cloud PC.

Add support for Linux files and applications.

Add proper performance modes:

Gaming Mode

Performance Mode

Balanced Mode

Battery Saving Mode

In Gaming Mode, only one game should run at a time, and it should receive maximum system resources. For example, on a 4GB RAM device, around 1GB can be reserved for the operating system and the remaining 3GB should be allocated to the game. Right now, games like Asphalt Legends crash or force the device to restart within 30–40 seconds even on the lowest settings. This clearly shows the need for a real Gaming Mode.

You cannot keep giving incomplete answers and expect users to remain satisfied. Gen 1 users also paid for the product and deserve proper software support. Continuously ignoring previous questions and giving vague replies is not a professional way to handle customer feedback.

I expect clear and direct answers to all the points mentioned above, especially the HDMI version question that you have ignored so far.

Looking forward to a proper response this time.

The Wi-Fi model comes with HDMI 1.2, and we always aim to be transparent about the features and limitations, including extended display support. We don’t want to mislead our users in any way. Our users are our top priority, and we genuinely consider your suggestions, although we may not be able to implement everything at once.

Primebook is an Android based device, so .exe files aren’t natively supported. However, we’ve suggested a workaround through our Cloud PC feature to help you access them.

We continue to support and assist our Gen 1 users as well. We haven’t ignored your questions; since some topics have been discussed multiple times, we also try to address other queries and topics raised by our community. We appreciate your patience and feedback.

Hi,

Thank you for finally confirming that the Primebook Wi-Fi model has HDMI 1.2.

Since HDMI 1.2 fully supports 1080p, I request you to please enable 1080p output on the external display instead of limiting it to 720p. There is no hardware reason to keep it at 720p when the port is capable of 1080p.

Also, I am once again requesting you to add all the features I have mentioned in my previous messages:

True Extended Display support (not just mirroring) via HDMI

1080p resolution on external display

Proper Split Screen / Multi-window support

Multilingual support (more language options in the system)

Performance modes:

Gaming Mode

Performance Mode

Balanced Mode

Battery Saving Mode

In Gaming Mode – only one game should run at a time and it should get maximum RAM and system resources

Local support to run Windows .exe files (not only through Cloud PC)

Support for Linux files and applications

You keep saying that you consider user suggestions and support Gen 1 users, but most of these basic features are still missing. Just repeating that “we have taken your suggestions into consideration” is not enough.

Please give a clear update on whether you will add these features (especially 1080p external display, extended display, and proper Gaming Mode) for the Gen 1 Wi-Fi model or not.

Looking forward to a proper response.
