I have been using my Primebook Pro 2 for a better part of 9 months now and I have been extensively using for my work purposes and even though there are a few hiccups here and there, it has been working like a charm.
Recently, I believe it was almost 2 months ago when my WhatsApp application stopped working. Whatsapp web still works but the app doesn’t work anymore.
It opens but when I scan the QR code to login to my account, it just loads for a couple of seconds and says failed to link device and goes back to the Welcome screen of whatsapp.
You should log in after clearing the data and clearing the cache.
or can try logging in with a number.
Hi, could you please check if your WhatsApp app is updated to the latest version? Also, try connecting to a different Wi-Fi network, as this may help. If the issue still persists, please let us know.
Yeahh I have tried it all actually. I have tried to Log In using number, it says Couldn’t Login.
I have tried using a different WiFI network, the issue still persists.
I have tried clearing the cache files and the data for Whatsapp completely and then tried but to no avail. I have also uninstalled and reinstalled the app and yet the issue persists. Is it something to do with my unit of Primebook only?
Yess. I actually have tried all of the above and more. And yet the issue persists.
I’ll install Whatsapp again and give it one more try and will update here.
So, I tried installing Whatsapp again. What I noticed this time was that since Primebook runs on android, it cannot be used as a primary device which can natively run Whatsapp independently.
It can only be logged into as a companion device to the primary device.
The only issue now is that companion devices are strictly to be logged in via QR code. There is no option for logging in by using mobile number as well.
So, I am just stuck with Whatsapp web for now.
I do have a problem for that as well. Let’s say I want to download 2 files onto my device storage. I have to right click on that file in the chat and press download so that it gets downloaded into my device storage but if I do it for one file and it gets downloaded, no matter how many times press download for the 2nd file, it will not download at all till the time I refresh the webpage.
Idk if it is a browser problem or a Whatsapp side problem but it’s a real inconvenience.
That happens because it does not support SIM verification, so it can only link to a mobile phone WhatsApp.
Is that so??
