Primebook 2 Neo bottom overheating

Dear Team,

It has been more than 10 days since I have begun using the Primebook 2 Neo. I have observed 2 issues with regards to charging and overheating of the device.

  1. While charging with the supplied power brick, the laptop’s chassis’s left park heats and it feels uncomfortably warm to the touch. However, when I use a lower wattage charger, the problem does not manifest. it is possible that the laptop is drawing more power than designed when connected to a higher wattaage charger?. I think this may damage the device in the long run. If that is so, please provide an option in the settings to limit the charging speed of the device, like is provided in other android phones.

  2. During normal usage, with no heavy task, like just watching youtube video, the same portion of the laptop heats up. I have the brightness level at 20%, connected to wifi and speaker volume at around 30%. The left bottom part feels hot to the touch and is uncomfortable to place on lap.

  3. Youtube blurs the video when play in PiP mode.

Kindly take the issues into consideration and please provide a solution.
When can we expect the next OS update.

Cheers!

Thank you for your feedback! Please use only the supplied charger and when the laptop is plugged in for charging, try not to use it in a hot environment, as this can cause extra heating. If the issue continues, our support team will be happy to assist you.
Regarding YouTube, if the video appears blurred in PiP mode, you can open it in the browser and play it fullscreen, both video and audio will then work smoothly in PiP. As for updates, the latest OS update was rolled out just a week ago.
