In the next update, do remove the ‘number keypad locking automatically’ on PrimeBook 2 Max. Who’s idea was it to lock number keypad automatically, don’t care. It’s totally useless function. If the user wants to play the game using number keypad, then they’ll lock number keypad. Locking number keypad from start and locking it automatically, midway everytime → is not worth.
Let’s’ analyse couple of scenarios of this function (locking number keypad) -
★ Automatic/Timed
The user has to move away from the laptop for sometime. After returning, the user turns off sleep mode by pressing a button (any button). The system wakes up and the user tries to enter the pin (which is number). Unfortunately the system doesn’t respond, due to number keypad is off. User tries to unlock number keypad by pressing ‘Num Lock’ button, even that doesn’t respond. The user is forced to enter the pin by clicking each number on the screen through trackpad. (Near by viewers can see the pin code)
The second scene. The user is hard coding in the primeCoding app or in codeStudio (online). In an instance, user has to enter the number. Types the numbers, instead of numbers reflecting, the cursor moves and user is forced to unlock number keypad by pressing ‘Num Lock’. It goes on all the time, everytime.
Imagine havingpin lockedandroid phone turned on and finds, the numbers not working every time → makes no sense, right…!
So the verdict from just these above scenarios, having the function of
automatically locking ‘number keypad’ is, frustrating.
@lordarcadius@Primebook_Admin If you want to make this PrimeBook great and users to have a seamless and smooth experience with Primebook, then pay attention to such details by implementing and make changes, where the user of PrimeBook feels “wow” , not "oh no".
We have already identified this bug and are working on it. This shall be fixed in the upcoming OTA. We are constantly trying to improve the OS experience by implementing user feedback. So keep helping us with such suggestions and reports.
Mr. Vipul Jha even after the OTA update, where is the fix…?
I’ve attached the screenshots below for you, Mr. Vipul Jha.
Is this your improvement? I’m sure you are not at all taking your responsibilities seriously and you are not a man of your word. I will definitely say You are literally hopeless. In your hand you are not able to fix a simple issue, then how are you going to improve PRIMEBOOK?
We have fixed this issue. After the OTA, you need to turn on “Num Lock” once. After that, it will stay on until you manually disable it.
Also, we do listen to your feedback. We are a growing brand and are consistently working to resolve all your queries. Please bear with us. Your feedback and support are necessary for us in this journey.
That’s why I have clearly attached the updated version screenshot and a photo taken from my phone with high resolution to see it clearly with the time.
As you can see in the photo the number keypad is locked on start itself and you are saying
It’s fixed… What else do you need…?
Just think (if you have capacity), why would I be creating this post in this topic?
I would be satisfied and shown my gratitude towards you, while replying with the expression of appreciation.
Yeah, without any hesitation do go-ahead and install the latest. Updates are very important, so do remember always be up-to-date.<.
They are not ignoring the customers, actually what’s happening is: they are not able to deliver the requested thing properly and not even on time.
For PRIMEBOOK
What I would suggest for prime book team is, to release the updates more frequently. A lesson that needs to be learned is: Once you fix an issue release it, do not hold it till all the features are updated. Do not think like: Released it last week, why release now.? Next month release or have a fixed schedule. .. No don’t do this.
For instance: On March first week, I bought a new Vivo phone. Since then I had gone through 5 Funtouch OS Version updates. I bought this PRIMEBOOK on January second week, just had couple of updates of Prime OS, (feb & may) that’s it.
One more thing I would like to add is: Keep a log topic in this discord community where, every update is logged in. Release date, version, changes made, new features, updates data etc, log it in and show it to the community. In future you’ll thank me for this. If you want to grow then improve this community first, with satisfied community members.
Are you working for primebook or other company cuz you are too damn peaceful and neither you are with user side nor primebook then where do you lie between us ?
Well, I’d like to say thank you and even seriously thanks for sharing your thoughts on this.
Tell me: Users deserve better communication and frequent updates — this part is absolutely true, isn’t it? But at the same time, constant hate in this situation doesn’t solve anything either. If users are frustrated, that’s valid. The delayed or unclear updates naturally creates disappointment in them and hate also.
So I stand with and appreciate what works, point out what doesn’t, and push for improvement calmly.
If I was working for PrimeBook, the first thing I’d be doing is this: Changing the community discord to dark theme. The next: letting the user feel every next step I’ll be taking in advance and getting response etc… Lakh of knowledge is the harsh truth about PrimeBook. They are not looking through user’s point of view. That’s it.
So finally, once again I’d like to say is: I stand somewhere in the middle — supporting practical discussion, realistic expectations and ofcourse the constructive feedback instead of blind defending or blind attacking.
