Hi Primebook Team, I am a Primebook Wi-Fi model user and I would like to raise two important issues together because they are connected. Issue 1: HDMI Extended Display Not Working Properly When I connect my Primebook to an external monitor or TV using the HDMI port, it only supports screen mirroring. The second screen simply duplicates whatever is on the Primebook. There is no proper extended / secondary display mode available. Even though there is a secondary screen option in the settings, it does not work like a real extended desktop (the way it works on Windows and Ubuntu, where you can drag windows across both screens and use them independently). This is a big limitation for productivity, studies, and multitasking. Issue 2: Overall Lag and Crashing The Primebook Wi-Fi model is also lagging in many situations. When I try to cast or extend the screen via HDMI, the performance becomes even worse — the system becomes very slow, and sometimes the apps or the whole system crashes. This makes it very difficult to use an external monitor reliably. My Strong Suggestion: To solve both problems permanently, Primebook should switch to a lighter and more powerful software — preferably build a new PrimeOS from scratch on Linux kernel. Linux is much lighter and more efficient than the current Android-based PrimeOS. This change would: Give maximum performance from the existing hardware Fix general lagging issues Make HDMI extended display work smoothly without crashing Allow proper extended desktop support Improve overall stability and battery life Alternatively, if a full switch is not possible right now, please make the current software much lighter and better optimized so that lag and crashes stop when using HDMI or casting. These improvements are very important for students and users who need to connect their laptop to a bigger monitor for studies, assignments, online classes, or work. Right now the device is not delivering its full potential because of software limitations. I request you to kindly forward this feedback to the senior product and development team. Please consider this as a high-priority feature request for the next major update. I would appreciate any update on whether these changes (especially proper HDMI extended display + performance optimization or Linux shift) are being planned. Thank you for your time. Sometimes I also try to use screen mirroring wirelessly through the PrimeBook 2 Max to my Android TV. It is not as stable as an HDMI cable. You should work on it and fix it by the upcoming OTA.
Further, when I tried it on my Samsung mobile via Smart View, it worked awesomely without jitteriness.
Hey Parag, Primebook Wi-Fi currently supports only screen mirroring and not extended display, which is why you are facing this issue. Regarding the lagging, please let us know if it is happening on a particular app or overall on the device, and we will help you out.

I understand that currently only screen mirroring is supported. Please add proper extended / secondary display support via HDMI in the next update. This is very important for productivity and multitasking.
Regarding lagging: It happens overall on the device, especially when using apps like Blinkit, Instamart, and also when connecting via HDMI. The performance becomes very slow and sometimes crashes.
Can you please tell me when the next software update is coming for Primebook? Also, what will be the name or version of the next update?
I hope the next update includes extended display support and better performance optimization.
i have a query: can a update make type-c to work as a Type-C to HDMI port? If it works, so primebook should implement it because it is a very big drawback. Let me share that when I decided to buy it, i have not noticed hdmi and now i want it as i have a 43-inch TV so i want to use it as my big screen for better browsing and workflow.
This is a very humble request from me that please implement the current requirement for calling it hybrid laptops, otherwise people will shift to chrome os soon.further it also supports linux environment free!
i always support primebook becuse this our nation’s pride but this time you should look over our issue and implement because some people don’t have stable network for wireless mirroring.

Hi Shubh, we are not ignoring you, our team has been working on this. However, in our Gen 2 variants, this won’t be possible at the moment. We will definitely work on making it possible in the future, but for now, we only have the screen cast option available.
